Ten office buildings in Bucharest attracted the attention of office tenants, who have signed contracts for spaces with an area of more than 3.000 sqm, in the first quarter of 2017, according to an ESOP analysis, based on data from the largest real estate agencies’ forum.
On the first three places in the top are three large buildings, which have reached the first contract renewals North Gate (an area of 20.000 sqm), Sky Tower (4 transactions, with a total of 12.780 sqm), and City Gate (10.000 sqm).
Tenants in North Gate, Sky Tower, and City Gate office buildings were satisfied with their space and extended the leases, thus giving them a veto again this year, in an office market with many projects underway. These include Renault, Oracle, and Rompetrol.
In the Globalworth project, a total area of 8.461 sqm was rented, in three separate transactions. The tenants are also top names in their fields: Printec, Nespresso, and Huawei.
Regarding new office buildings entering the market, stand out Aviatorilor 8A (where four tenants signed contracts for a total area of 5.450 sqm) and Landmark, with a pre-lease of 4.506 sqm.
The approach of the delivery of the first buildings from the Timpuri Noi Square project is also promising three tenants are signing contracts in the first three months of the year, with a total of 5.600 sqm. In the meantime, however, others have been added.
