Employee Productivity Is Higher in Modern Office Buildings

Employees perform better and come to the office with pleasure when they are moved to better buildings

According to an international study, the quality of a new office space influences the performance of employees better or worse. Working speed, accuracy, creativity, motivation increase when the work environment is of a higher quality and better office building. Thus, the productivity of employees in a superior office building advances by 12.5%, and people are absent less often than when they were in the old headquarters.

However, if the new office is lower in quality, the impact is even higher, but this time for the worse: productivity decreases by 17%, and absenteeism increases. These results appear in Chapter 19, entitled “Productivity Improvement,” in the third edition of the “Buildings in Value” study, signed by Adrian Leaman, a researcher in the field and managing director of Building Use Studies.
