At the information centers of UBC office buildings, in Timisoara, books are collected for children from disadvantaged families. With a flower, there is no spring, the same with no book, but with hundreds and thousands of books gathered in the Openville community, a library will be assembled and will be spring. The project is called “Reading Ambassadors” and aims to create a mobile library for 120 children in need.
The books are brought until April 24, 2019, to each Information Center in each office building. Social projects with community actions are organized by NGOs, in partnership with office building administrators, or by the HR departments of the tenant companies. They are increasingly common in new business centers.
In Timisoara, the project is carried out by a foundation, in partnership with one of the tenant companies in the office complex: Missio Link International Foundation and Ness Digital Engineering Timișoara.
Books donated by employees from/of UBC office buildings will be lent to children from disadvantaged families, from the metropolitan area of Timisoara. The mobile library will be available to over 120 children and be moved from place to place, weekly, in several areas. Besides, a team of volunteers will organize interactive sessions, with discussions around children’s readings.
You can donate money for books, and those who donate receive discounts on books purchased from the Cărturești bookstore within Iulius Mall Timişoara.
