A New Large Tenant in Orhideea Area: UPC Trades 6.000 Sqm, in Phase II of The Bridge

The Bridge project in Bucharest is near Carrefour-Orhideea, Grozăvești metro station, and states the construction of two office buildings in two phases. The first phase of The Bridge was inaugurated in 2017 and is occupied by BCR and IBM.

The second phase of The Bridge office project will be ready in 2019 and has as its first tenant the company UPC, which pre-leased an area of 6.000 sqm, according to the developer. The second phase of The Bridge project will have a rentable Class A office area of 20.191 sqm and a total area of 31.360 sqm.

In addition to offices, The Bridge project will also have commercial spaces on the ground floor and generous common areas.

In the first phase, The Bridge delivered office space that totaled 36.871 sqm (where BCR and IBM are now located).

Recently, The Bridge project received LEED Platinum certification with the highest LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification score granted by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) to a property in Romania. 

As facilities, The Bridge Business Center includes an indoor garden, ten high-speed elevators, terraces on each floor, parking for bicycles, and motorcycles in the basement.

As for the area, The Bridge is in the center-west of Bucharest, near Grozavesti subway station, between the Regie dormitories and the Politehnica University of Bucharest, close to Carrefour Orhideea galleries and a 10-minute walk from the Gradina Botanica, AFI Cotroceni Mall and Gara de Nord.

In addition to the subway line, which connects Grozăvești station with Victoriei, Unirii, Gara de Nord stations, there are two bus stops in front of the office buildings, with five lines to the downtown area and neighborhoods and a tram stop, with three permanent lines: 1, 11 and 35.

Due to the Basarab Bridge, Orhideea-Grozăvești -Politehnică area now has an excellent connection with both the northern region – with a direct exit to Victoriei Square, as well as to the western area – Militari, Drumul Taberei, but also to the south – to Panduri, Tudor-Vladimirescu areas – Piata Sudului.
