“In the top of most real estate sales in the country are Bucharest, Cluj, Timis, Iasi and Brasov, development centers that also have the largest office markets in Romania.

In these university centers, the interest in the working market has increased; for IT&C, BPO and outsourcing companies generated a snowball effect on all segments of the real estate market. The office market has developed where big international companies have rented spaces with valuable surfaces. Then the residential sector – due to the increased purchasing power in the area and finally the market segment of land suitable for future projects “, says Alexandru Petrescu, Managing Partner at ESOP Consulting at CORFAC International.

According to an ESOP report, top centers collected the most transactions in 2017 in the first three quarters in Bucharest, followed by the counties of Timiș, Iași, Brașov, and Cluj.

In total, from January to the end of September 2017 were registered nationwide, 451.072 real estate sales, according to ANCPI.

In September 2017, the number of properties that have been the subject of sale-purchase contracts, at the national level, it was 57.778 units.
