Romanian Real Estate Opportunities

ESOP brings investments for SMEs to the “Romanian Real Estate Opportunities” conference

The first edition of Romanian Real Estate Opportunities took place on April 17, 2006, at the JW Marriott Grand Hotel, which proved to be a success.

Business Media Group organized the event in collaboration with Europaproperty.com. In the first part, spoke the representatives of the most prestigious companies in the real estate field and, in the second part were presented the most significant and most exciting projects on the Romanian market.

The event was attended by some of the most prestigious companies in the real estate market, such as Europolis, Colliers, Eurisko, and DTZ Echinox. In terms of projects, two of the largest on the market were presented: Baneasa and Sema Parc, which, through their complexity and structure, captured the interest of the participants. The information provided about the office market for Small and Medium Enterprises in the presentation given by Alexandru Petrescu, a partner within ESOP, aroused a real interest.

The case study and investment opportunities for SMEs have proved to be completely new topics. There have been no dedicated analyzes and statistics so far. However, 99% of all enterprises are SMEs that provide over 53 % of jobs and have a contribution of over 40% to gross domestic product (GDP).

“We have noticed the potential of SMEs since 4 years ago, from the moment the company was launched. We offered a dedicated real estate consulting solution for this market sector. We believed in him, and our expectations were not deceived, “says Alexandru Petrescu from the ESOP’s real estate company.

Office space for SMEs will be in high demand. Along with apartments and villas that represent 35% of the offer for this market segment, it is planned to develop medium-sized projects that offer flexible spaces so that surfaces of 250-500 sqm can be rented.

“In conclusion, the market for office space for SMEs is still an attractive segment, which can become an engine of economic growth by developing Romanian companies and attracting international companies” adds Alexandru Petrescu SMEs are perhaps the most dynamic and adaptable form of organizing a business, these companies were born due to private initiative and are characterized by innovation, motivation, progress.
