News Outdoor moves to ASTON Business Center
Starting with February 2004, News Outdoor moved to Aston Business Center, completing one of the most important transactions since the beginning of 2004 – announces ESOP, the real estate consultant that mediated the relocation.
News Outdoor is the largest outdoor advertising company in Eastern Europe and the second largest contractor in the country.
“At News Outdoor, we are fully dedicated to providing the highest quality services to our partners, and we wanted a space that reflected this direction,” said Jason E. Senior, Managing Director at News Outdoor Romania. With over 60 employees, News Outdoor opted for an open environment, with a modern design, located on the 2nd floor of the ASTON Business Center and with an area of 670 square meters.
“It was a real help in finding the right space that all the requirements were formulated by News Outdoor representatives, and we could easily understand the priorities,” says Mirela Manea, ESOP Marketing Manager. There were two essential criteria: an open space to facilitate communication, and the existence of a large number of parking spaces (minimum 15). The space chosen in ASTON BC fully satisfies these requirements: the surfaces are open, with an integral arrangement on one floor, and the parking spaces are generous (the building is located near the Children’s Park).
Other decisive features in choosing this space were the modern equipment (air conditioning, alarm system, and 24 h monitoring), and communication facilities, good positioning, with easy access to the main areas of Bucharest (especially to the center and north), and the numerous alternatives of access using public transport (bus, subway, tram).
But there is another reason why ASTON BC can be considered a real opportunity: the owner deliberately left the space undeveloped, allowing the tenant to choose the complete finishes inside.
News Outdoor opted to arrange the space using melamine parquet, false ceiling, with built-in lighting systems, PC and telephone network, and only a few partitions – given that the space was intended to be kept as open as possible. All works were performed by ASPRO.
“The biggest challenge was to complete the arrangement in very strict time,” says Viorel Florea, General Manager of ASPRO. “That is why we established all the execution details beforehand, and we strictly observed the schedule of works, several teams working simultaneously.” According to Mr. Costin Chiliment, President of ASTON SA, the total investments in the arrangements amount to over 80,000 Euros, ASTON financing them in a proportion of 90%. “We are glad that we managed to offer not only office space but a solution completely adapted to the requirements of our partner.”
Aston SA is one of the largest companies on the Romanian market that provides solutions for refrigeration, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. In 2001, the company purchased the building in the Children’s Park for 1.2 million Euros and completely renovated it during the following year. “We saw in this space more than just a headquarters of our company, but also a profitable investment, which is why we expanded the building, building the second floor,” added Mr. Costin Chiliment.
