CORFAC International is expanding to Europe. European Conference CORFAC International
Chicago, USA (June 2015) – Over the past three and a half years, CORFAC International’s European presence has grown steadily. Since the fall of 2011, CORFAC International has expanded with 10 new European companies and more in other vital markets worldwide.
CORFAC International organized the European Semester Spring Conference in Paris, France. Nine companies and 16 representatives attended the two-day event, a mix of conference sessions and informal meetings, combined with business development sessions and practice workshops.
Companies affiliated to the European CORFAC sector meet every six months outside the CORFAC meetings regularly scheduled in North America for the past 18 months.
The companies participating in the Paris meetings were: BG Carré / CORFAC International (France) which was the host company, P&A Siglo XXII / CORFAC International (Spain), Berendes and Partners / CORFAC International (Germany), HWBC / CORFAC International (Ireland) ) Stanley Finklestein / CORFAC International (Israel), IL PUNTO / CORFAC International (Italy), ESOP Consulting / CORFAC International (Romania), Bright Rich / CORFAC International (Russia) and Farebrother / CORFAC International (United Kingdom). Steve Podolsk joined the group as 2015 Chair of the CORFAC International Committee.
The meeting was attended by Alexandru Petrescu, Managing Partner, and Mirela Raicu, Manager of the Corporate Offices Division, at ESOP Consulting.
The special guest was Andy Watson, General Manager of LaSalle Investment Management / Europe.
Each CORFAC company shared local market information and business conditions on its market, as well as information on the top 10 of its clients, the largest tenants in their markets, investment opportunities in their countries, and foreign clients’ names. During the practice workshops, the group shared examples of rental, sales, and appraisal brochures and discussed ways to integrate technologies into the presentation of properties in a broader cross-border market and the transmission of customer requirements in rental situations as in the acquisition ones.
The group reviewed its participation in MIPIM, plans for participation in Expo Real, and discussed the addition of new affiliates to promote coverage in Europe.
“The meetings were very productive and helped establish a process for generating more business together. All companies reported the existence of potential offers “, said Alistair Subba Row de le Farebrother. “However, we have also worked on mutual support in a way that characterizes CORFAC International as an organization – not always about direct business, but about developing the relationships that benefit our companies in terms that are not still measurable in the short term, but which bring added value in the long run, “said Steve Podolsky, SIOR, from PodolskyICircle CORFAC International – Chicago.
The autumn European conference in 2015 is scheduled for November in Tel Aviv, Israel. CORFAC’s Global Fall Summit will be in Minneapolis, MN, from September 9-12.
